Files you convert
On the free tier, conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your video is never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers — it is read and processed on your own device using WebAssembly, and the resulting GIF is created locally for you to download. We never see, receive, or retain your videos or GIFs.
Information we collect
We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal information. Our hosting and CDN providers may automatically record standard technical logs — such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your request — for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.
Cookies and advertising
gif.ninja is free and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. To show ads, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies and similar technologies:
